  • Chronicle of Happenings (18.12.10 - 18.12.17)

    For the period starting the tenth day of the Twelfth Moon, and ending the seventeenth day of the Twelfth Moon, Eighteenth Year of the Recent Awakenings;

    In accordance to the will of the Lord Chamberlain, and in upholding the duties charged to the Office of the Chronicler, we hereby submit an accounting of this moon's happenings.

    Events resume
    Early breakfasts and mid-morning brunches once again began happening on the centre of the Great Bridge as those laid low by the burning sickness, now recovered, ventured forth from the Inner Bailey Hospital to take on everyday life once again.

    Master Jeffery slain by Black Dame
    Master Jeffery, of Lord Bernier's household, was slain by the Black Dame, Dame Keterin, on the center of the Great Bridge. The combat was fought and while Master Jeffery scored a serious hit with a violent violet -- an alchemical explosive -- he was torn asunder by the Dame before horrified witnesses. In his death, however, Master Jeffery secured the safety of those witnesses, who would have been slain by the Dame if he had refused her challenge, or if they had intervened. Master Jeffery has since been resurrected, as has sera Kamilah, another of the Dame's victims.

    New Director Named
    The Linguistic Project Assembly, once under the leadership of ser Chrestian, had a new director appointed by its patron, ser Adahn. Chrestian was removed by ser Adahn after being charged with serious criminal offenses. Ser Gareth is now acting director until such a time as the decision becomes permanent or another director is chosen.

    Shadowkin drama shut down
    An attempt by Ariel, one of the Shadowkin, to start drama and controversy via postings on the public bulletin board were completely shut down, as law-abiding residents were bored by her claims and assertions and generally ignored the postings as pretentious blathering.

    Music sees resurgence in Outer Bailey
    After Moons of silence from the musical arm of the Unity of Arts, both Unity musicians, their students and other musically inclined individuals have been hosting musical evenings in the Refectory.
