  • Chronicle of Happenings (19.01.01 - 19.01.06)

    For the period starting the first day of the First Moon, and ending the sixth day of the First Moon, Nineteenth Year of the Recent Awakenings;

    In accordance to the will of the Lord Chamberlain, and in upholding the duties charged to the Office of the Chronicler, we hereby submit an accounting of the first days of the Nineteenth Year of Recent Awakenings

    Happy Nineteenth Year, Marrachians!
    The Guild of the Awakened hosted a small but merry gathering in the Sunset Rooms to celebrate the end of the eighteenth year and the arrival of the nineteenth. The event, with games, food and friends, was well attended.

    A different type of ball
    Balls are a common occurrence in the realm of Marrach, but starting this week, ser Brynden is hosting a bowling ball every other week on Mon's days, the first of which took place on the first day of the year. The casual event includes food and drink, and bowling games of varied talent.

    Celebrating success
    Two men of the Outer Bailey, sers Meoris and Rhomulus, were feted in the Outer Bailey theatre after it was announced that they were to be accepted as bodyservants to His Excellency, Lord Boreas. They join the household, made up of valet Sir Howe and bodyservants Brynden and Raoul.

    Another Shadowkin apprehended
    Volund, another man who had aligned himself with the shadows, was apprehended after attacking the healer, Mistress Merrynn, in the Outer Bailey infirmary. While she took a minor wound, the Mistress was able to fight off the man and help from the Royal Army quickly contained him.

    Music and Discussion after Sunset
    The Guild of the Awakened hosts the weekly Music and Discussion event every Woden's day in the Sunset Rooms. Hosted by sera Caillean, the musical interlude's itinerary varies week to week, with different themes of music and discussion -- though the event can often be turned into an Awakening session should a new guest arrive. Starting next week, the evening will start at six late bells.

    Avalonian Glade final cleansing nears
    Volunteers are being sought to help the final cleansing of the Avalonian Glade. According to Mistress Josie, those who have previous volunteered should also write in, so as to ensure an up to date list. The glade was corrupted years ago after a member of the Winter Court brought sickness and death within the magical place.

    Storytelling a popular event
    Though Vaden may be better known as a martial man, it is his talent with the spoken tale that has created interest of late. The Yeoman, through his place in the Unity of the Arts, has been hosting storytelling nights in the Refectory -- much to the delight of those who come to listen and take part.
