It is; it was announced "officially" on FB but nowhere else.
The position being taken is not to be mistaken for attempted education or righteous accusation- Only a description, just an observation of the pitiful condition of our degeneration.

Oh doom and gloom, oh doom and gloom, the GMs are fools and do not realize what a position they have put us in. They could not possibly have thought of all of this already, for they are but tiny brained fools.
Keep on keepin' on, can ya dig it?

            To get the math down.
25 points gets 1 stat boost?
            25 points gets 200 RP.
8 for 1 is a very appealing deal.

25 points gets 1 stat boost.... 250 points gets 10 stat boosts
25 points gets 200 rp.... 250 points gets 2000 rp
2000 rp gets 20 stat boots

Basic accounts may purchase up to 50 StoryPoints per month at a cost of 24.95$. Premium accounts may purchase up to 250 StoryPoints.

                In other words:

With promo 1 (attribute gain per StP doubled):
                50 storypoints = +2 in a stat
+2 in a stat for 50 StoryPoints is -not- worth it for combat stats. If you transfer StPs to RPs you can get the equivalent of +4 in a stat instead of +2.

                Without promo 1:
                50 storypoints = +1 in a stat

With promo 2 (StP to RP doubled):
                50 storypoints = 400 Rolepoints.
This gains you the equivalent of +4 in a stat OR you can use it for other purposes. My recommendation: wait for half-off stats. This will once again -double- your monterary value. 50 StPs = 25$ = 16 RPs per $. You would normally get 8 RPs per $ with the normal conversion rate. Combining this with a half off promotion later on will make you get the equivalent of 32 RPs per $. 1000 / 32 = 31.25$ for + 10 in a combat stat when combining double conversion rate + half off promo in the coming months. If you have extra money and want to increase your stats or make purchases, this is pretty much as good as it's going to get and you may want to act on it.

                Without promo 2:
                50 storypoints = 200 Rolepoints.

Yep, I always convert during double conversion, then wait for half off stats

Aren't the stats bought with storypoints the kind that are instant? So you don't have to run the courses for them or wait for them to go up through random increases by doing? That would be the difference in why they are not the same as 2000 rps = 20 increases over having 10. So it works best for the social and mental stats.

Yes they are instantly applied to the character and not the potential that you purchase with RPs. Thatís why you donít need to run the courses for it and until they release some sort of mental / social courses that is the way to increase those unless you want to glean occasionally, which only applies to the mentals not the socials.

                        That's correct.

Before Undertown's release there were no ways to increase the social/mental stats IG (which is a shame because at one point that was supposed to happen in the library). You can drink some kind of liquid that uses up your potential points. Using StoryPoints to purchase stats allows you to automatically gain that bonus to your stat instead of just being a potential increase that makes you use the courses/liquid.

                        TLDR:

StoryPoint purchase = Automatic stat gain
RP purchase = Need to use the courses/liquid to use your potential that you purchased

Pretty sure the liquid doesnt help with social, only mentals, aka dont think it helps empathy/charm/appearance. Originally empathy did from my understanding but someone removed it. Elowynn and Syden could correct me on this. You can honestly just farm all of your mentals with enough natural increases.
