    Healers of Light: A New Game

    As stated in the @events posting this event has a cost of one talent per entry. Players may enter as many times as they wish. Eighty percent of all sold tickets will be returned to the winning purse with a maximum of twenty entries and a top prize of sixteen talents. Some entries are available before the event and tickets are sold at the event. You must have your ticket to win.

    As always, if you have questions about the event seek Neithan in game [or post them here]. If you have questions about the venue see Kyrah.

    [
    The remainder of this post is to serve as an OOC explanation of the rules and operation of the game.

    Each entrant will receive a parchment labeled with a unique identifier. On the parch is a grid of five rows and five columns. The game plays as a one dimensional Bingo. This means that a randomly selected parchment drawn from a sack and labeled with it's value will be read. Any and all cells containing the announced word may be marked. This foregoes the B-I-N-G-O matching portion of Bingo. A winning parchment will have marked all the entries in any row, column or diagonal.

    This is an example parchment:
    Code:
    +---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    | Cent    | Lounge  | Priest  | Bank    | Spear   |
    +---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    | Tailor  | Insula  | Wine    | Arena   | Baths   |
    +---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    | Globi   | Thief   | Iridine | Axe     | Senate  |
    +---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    | Dirk    | Healer  | Cult    | Sterce  | Invex   |
    +---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    | Ludus   | Brandy  | Harbor  | Posca   | Staff   |
    +---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    If "Cent, Insula, Iridine, Sterce, Staff" is called this parchment would win. This is only one of the combinations that would win for the given card.

    The identifiers will allow the announcer to know when a winner is reached, and which identifier won. However, each person is to keep track of their own winning. The first to call out their win will take the prize. More than one person might reach a winning combination simultaneously, so be quick!

    Big kudos to you for writing the app for this (and for writing out those cards)! Hope we can utilize it again soon.

    The card holders were as follows:
    Code:
    Angeliek = 6f353a82fca21af2a38f75bb2bec98, Ec319a36aa978f4676d6da0d4de091

    Merula = 95ad0dba2e96ff5314f22201940778
    Psilac = 115839a2fbece277f2e3e405ce9bb5, 15b0652ae3e97a394cd9ed56deedf2
    As you can see, Psilac took a while to call his winners. He announced his success after Spear was called but before Invex, just edging out Sithrin. It took two further calls for the next person to have hit the winning combination.

    The final winnings were 16 talents.

    On behalf of the Healers of Light Neithan sincerely hopes that everyone had fun. The grunt work is mostly done for this and we could play this game regularly both for the organization and at social gatherings unrelated to the Healers of Light.
