    Innkeepers will now respond to specific room requests. Please make your request after you have been offered the first room, in the following manner:

    > Bactrian says to Glaeus, "rooms"
    > Glaeus says, "I have eighteen apartments available."
    > Glaeus says, "The rent is half a talent a month for ground level residence, one talent a month if at the second floor, and one and a half talents a month for penthouse apartments. Would you like one?"
    > Bactrian says to Glaeus, "yes"
    > Glaeus says, "How about room 20?"
    > Glaeus says, "It's a nice penthouse quality room."
    > Bactrian says to Glaeus, "no"
    > Glaeus says, "No? Would you like a different room then?"
    > Bactrian says to Glaeus, "yes 13"
    > Glaeus says, "Hmm, then how about room 13?"
    > Glaeus says, "It's a nice second quality room."

      Breo in the harbor now sells crates with label boards that can be painted using the new CLAB?EL command. This addition is not retroactive with other types of crates and will only work with this kind, to avoid issues with other kinds of crates in the gameworld.

      CLAB?EL <crate> [with] <title>

      Example:
      a bright red crate with a blank label board
      dip brush in jar
      You dip a paint brush in a jar of proclaim-purple paint
      clab crate Hot Stuff
      You title a bright red crate with a blank label board with 'Hot Stuff'

      returns:
      a bright red crate labeled 'Hot Stuff' in proclaim-purple paint

        Clam/Mussel Diving has been given a few upgrades as to what can be found on the sea floor, as well as a few subtle changes dealing with the value of finding said things.

        (To preempt some frownie-faces, this is not a Nerfing. Hence the term "Upgrade".)
        Game Master Tale
        Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. Creativity is putting tomatoes in a fruit salad to make mango salsa. Philosophy is wondering if that means ketchup is actually a smoothie. Common Sense is knowing that no, ketchup is not a smoothie.

          Blackvine Medic

          Vai'ran's medical station in Blackvine is open for business! His place is located east of the village square, just before the meadow area begins.

          He isn't no priestly pushover, so don't expect the same level of PR you're used to from Cult healers. He knows he's the only readily available medic in town and his prices reflect that.

          He also sells a few supplies. Apart from the usual: the waterskins he sells have colour options, and he has walking sticks available (you no longer have to dull your weapons limping!)

          There is an amphora providing free drinking water, too.

          As always, please report any bugs or issues with the new dude.

            Alanti-tipped spears

            Rufus has recently been approached by a rare metals smith, Malika. After heavy negotiations, they've come to an arrangement.

            As a result, alanti-tipped spears have been added to his stock. Enjoy!

                Alamsar

                Dreggo's cousin, Alamsar, has moved into the town of Blackvine to sell his wares. He has a stand setup outside of Dreggo's house.

                Merchandise includes a tasty variety of salted meats and fish, a skinning knife, a travelling backpack. The feature item are his ribbon markers - usable in wilderness areas to mark paths, favourite camping sites or just to help find your way back.

                  Breeding Benches

                  Stone benches have metastasised across the entire bleacher section of the Colosseum. Characters can actually sit and watch the fights now!

                      Gladiator fixes

                      - RT bug has been fixed. There are still a few limited scenarios where a gladiator might strike again fast, but they are intended and not widespread.
                      - Unarmed combat has been updated. Don't think that getting the arena to discard the weapon for you is going to make the fight easier.
                      - General combat AI updates. Overall, I've increased the difficulty minutely -- for the most part, this just means more variety in their responses to situations.

                      I'll be continuing to update their tactical AI for the next little while, so feel free to submit @feedback on the changes, and of course @report any bugs you find.

                          As noticed, access to the "portal" has currently been restricted. That area (like Twilight, which has been severed off for some time now) was created before many current mechanics were in place, and in regards to that I believe there were some oversights in addressing these areas. One was sealed off, while the other left open.

                          It has caused a number of overall issues that will need to be rectified before access can be granted.

                          Those who were in the area when it actually happened did receive some notification IG, but not everything needs to be a ground-breaking event (har har.)

                              Thanks to Raphael, we’ve added a new function to the “wait” command. When standing at the dock waiting on the ferry to or from Monlon, if you “wait for ferry” your character will automatically board the ferry when it arrives if they are still standing there. Also, while on the ferry, if you “wait for dock” your character will automatically disembark the ferry whenever it docks. There was a former attempt at a “ferrywait” command which has now been disabled due to the current changes.
