    Hello players!

    First, we want to thank the many of you that have recently been willing to set aside old stories in favor of forging new ones. These new characters, adventures, and friends add even more layers to the rich foundation on which our gameworld has been created.

    With the increased enthusiasm from players new and old, we've watched the numbers of players online at once climb, consistently hitting 60+ at various times of the day. To that end...

    The challenge: Reach 100 players online at one time.

    The rewards: Each account online during the day we reach our goal will receive 1 BP, 100 GSP, *and* we will host a fun OOC-parchment day.

    The fine print: At least 75% of the 100 goal must be from established accounts. Trial accounts do not count towards the goal, nor will they receive rewards.

    So get out there and shake old players loose from the woodwork, convince your friends to finally join you in playing, get streaming on Twitch or YouTube, whatever works best for you. If we can hit the goal prior to May 31st, maybe I'll even throw in a bonus reward.

      A new option is available to VC packages that receive custom items. If you wish to forgo the custom item you can request coin instead. The exchange rate is 100 talents per custom item.

          If you've ever wanted an up-do for a special event, temporarily tattoos for a set of games, custom makeup for a date night, or anything else, you're now in luck!

          "Mini Makeovers" FAQs:
          • You may change 1-2 elements, e.g. hair style/color, add makeup, temporary tattoo, etc.
          • Your description will revert to the original description 72 hours after completion
          • Mini makeovers will cost 100 RPs and 1T
          • Please use the @request menu to submit your request
          • Please allow for at least 24-hour turn around time

                In order to implement a multitude of bug fixes and to pave the way for the upcoming traits release, the way fumbles are handled in combat has been revamped.

                What is new?
                • Instead of just dropping your weapon or stumbling, there is now a dynamic list of possible fumble outcomes.
                • Fumble outcomes still include the fan favorite of dropping a weapon, and now have things such as switching stances, retreating, even falling down. Collect them all!
                • Fumble outcomes are tallied by how damning they are to the fumbler, with "good" fumbles more common than "bad" fumbles, and scaling based on the fumbler's overall combat ranks -- more ranks is better.
                • Fumble outcomes now are tailored to the attack used, so there will no longer be buggy outcomes. This was a big issue for cestus, shield, and some unarmed attacks.
                • The Combat Maneuvers skill Recovery will no longer trigger unless the fumbler knows the skill.
                • Recovery will once again allow players to follow through, making the attack without fumbling at all. The chance to prevent a fumble is based upon one's ranks in Recovery, while the chance to follow through is based on overall combat ranks.
                • Now that Recovery again allows following through with the attack, the bonus it gives to the next attack has been lowered somewhat.

                What stays the same?
                • The chances to fumble, and things that affect those chances have not changed.
                • The trait All Thumbs still increases the base fumble rate, making the character fumble more often.
                • The trait Muscle Memory, coming soon to a character generator near you, prevents all fumbling and always follows through with the attack regardless of ranks.
                • Items dropped as a result of a fumble are still administratively tied to its owner, and cannot be taken by others.
                • The amount of ranks needed in Recovery to prevent fumbles remains the same.
                • While Recovery can be perfected in PvE, a small chance to fumble in PvP remains even at high ranks.

                Thank you for the bug reports, suggestions, and feedback that shaped this revamp.

                Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. Creativity is putting tomatoes in a fruit salad to make mango salsa. Philosophy is wondering if that means ketchup is actually a smoothie. Common Sense is knowing that no, ketchup is not a smoothie.
