Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what this exactly does (I have not tried to use it yet).

It -sounds- like if everyone else sees an item as "a shield", then someone with Metal Affinity would be able to inspect and see "This shield is made of bronze". If that is the case, it feels like the only reason this is a thing is because it's a text based game and everyone should be able to see with their own two eyes that the shield is clearly made of bronze instead of taking it from one dealer to the next. If it has some other use, then sorry for the misunderstanding.

    • It gives a purpose to the trait that you can't not select if you pick to be from that nation, since there's no metal mining at all.

      • Other players have reported that there have been some adjustments to the mechanics at the treehouse: the planks will no longer spin and dump you and hitting the rafters with polearm weapons only occurs in the main area beneath the archer rather than all over.

        • Since I haven't seen mention of this anywhere else yet, a new pickpocketing maneuver has been added into the game world called 'Loose Lift'. It allows you to lift certain items from belt hoops, such as ropes and other useful tools. Certain hidden but public trainers in certain places will teach the move, but be warned that it has a difficulty of impossible.
