  • Annoying Injury Bug.

    kill rat
[Success: 5, Roll: 50] You bash a gaunt grey rat in the head repeatedly with a light quarterstave with leather grips, killing it.
[Success: 95, Roll: 95] A sickly yellow rat misses you with its teeth! You block a sickly yellow rat's head with your light quarterstave with leather grips!
    snaps rat
You feel a twinge in your legs.
You will be busy for three more seconds.

As you can see even if you can't perform the action, it still does an injury check, this can result in fatigue loss.

    Other weird things about it:
    - It also applies in walking situations where you are busy.
    Ie. walk east
You feel a twinge in your legs.
You will be busy for three more seconds.

    - When following someone it does this check for every pace, however when walking to a mark it only checks for the syntax itself, in other words the very first pace.

I don't think this is true.

I don't get it. Isn't the injury emote used instead of the action? So you will suffer fatigue and round time because of it?
Argued with GM Tale on forums.
Character wakes up with 2hp and 2 fatigue, mangled face.
      Skotos didn't care.

I can assure you it's true, I have tested it all week.

I think he's saying the order is:
          Input command
Chance of injury emote with penalties
          Check is command is possible

          And it should be:
          input command
          check if possible
chance of injury effects only if command is possible

In other words, he got a penalty for doing something the game wasn't going to let him do.

It doesn't happen every time, which leads me to believe there is a check. This was just an example of it happening when I entered the syntax 2 seconds before you are no longer busy. However this should only happen when you are performing an action, not while your entering syntax into the system because your character is not actually doing anything. I hope that helped I wasn't 100% on your question sorry.

Ahhhhh, derrr i should stop reading stuff on the phone. I saw it as you landed your attack, and when you went to use your next one (snaps) it emoted it instead.

                Very weird bug then.

Been reported several times, still exists. Seems like a simple fix to me. I guess we needed more tailoring shops first though.

It's awesome when you use a quick, attack, then try to anticipate the MOS expiring only to guess wrong, wince and drop your weapon or create an opening and increase your RT.

Adds more spice to the combat, like dropping your weapon when you fumble even with 100 ranks in recovery.
