Below are the pieces information that the Royal Cook, and we, his assistants, will need of any order sent to us. You may leave out as much of the criteria as you wish, though, it makes your order less likely to be properly filled.

1. We will need one week's notice, at LEAST. More than one week is preferred.

2. The Event for which the foods/drinks are needed.

3. How many denizens are to be fed.

4. Where the event is to take place.

5. The links of those likely to attend (for instance, if Master Davog were to attend, we would need to know.).

6. Finally, what sort of things you wish. If this is not specified, we will use our own judgement.

Key Orders, and Lock Fittings

Regarding Key Orders

Directly scribed, word for word, from previous announcments:

Currently, all key orders and inquiries are to be sent to the Royal Pages. Requirements for key orders shall be as follows:

Who precisely is it for? (Is it for the requestor, or someone asking on behalf of another individual?)
Which room is the key needed for? Provide a description of the key.
How many are required?
Regarding Lock fittings

This is similar to Key orders, however a slight difference is penned below.

Why is the lock fitting necessary?
Has a key existed for this lock before? If yes, get a description of it. If no, the Keeper of the Keys will need to access the furniture/door to make a proper key.
Regarding Private Furniture Key Requests

To pen additionally to this missive, I note that the Stewards are still unable to provide at this time, keys to furniture that are of personal use. Once such knowledge is imparted to the Stewards, we shall pin missive here upon it's availability.

Thus, only Guilds, Societies, and the like may request keys for their furniture, and the same of room keys.

~*~*~

It should additionally be noted we will only use current documentation to fulfill orders, thus if your name is not listed upon the chain, expect an inquiry for reasons for your request.

Please note: If you send an order through the pages, please give it a healthy amount of time before inquiring of said orders. If inquiries must be made, send such inquires to the STEWARDS, and not the Pages. The pages are but messangers within this process. Patience will be greatly appreciated in this matter.

Penned in duty,
Faer Oba'Morg'viir Ramos

New Updated Garden Scociety Guidelines
The Garden Society has recently reviewed it's ordering process and as of this time the following rules for ordering shall come into effect:

As with other Craft and Supply groups in the castle, we have categorised plants into levels of availability. Those that are harder to grow and maintain, are at higher levels.

Rank allows you to get plants at a higher level and intrinsic rank moreso. However, there are other factors than rank to the ordering guidelines and you are advised to consult us before placing an order to find out what is available to you.

Our Members

* Sera Roxanne - Leader
* Sera Finna - Assistant Leader in Roxanne's absence.
* Sera Tamm
* Sera Sirocco
* Sera Perdita
* Sera Poppy
* Sera Fatealaria
* Sera Sariaha
* Sera Kitra

Current Auxiliary

* Ser Pete - Senior Member (key)
* Ser Gareth - Senior Member (key)
* Ser Trisan
* Sera Alysa

Two key areas that some exceptions are made in are those of healing and cooking. Healers may order a herb that would otherwise not be allowed them if they order through, and are approved by, an Apprentice. Cooks may be able to get plants that have mainly edible properties that are a small amount higher than their usual level.

Any who are banned by the seamstresses shall also be banned by the Garden Society. This includes those who are known to abuse the healers and those who are known to break the teaching guidelines, as well as those who show disrespect to the clothing guidelines. We do of course ban those who earn it ourselves as well. Should a public apology be given and accepted, know that you will still have a reduced selection of plant supply, and that you will only be given the one chance.

GIFTS:

Plants to be given for gifts: it is advised that you consult us on this matter and the nature of the gift to see that we can help with making them appropriate.

GUIDELINES FOR ORDERING

One on potted plant per month with an upper limit of six per year applies. The rule of ordering at least a moon in advance. Plainer single flowers – up and including to level three – may be ordered on a basis of only two per moon, with a limit of nine per year.

Level four to six are subject to the same rules as potted plants. Large plants are only available to be placed in a suitably size guild room or group office. These take longer to grow to size.

We do not supply poisons, and will refer you to the Conservatory if you are of the level to request a plant with said properties to see if they will allow it. It’s unlikely many will fit either of these requirements, so please don’t try to pester Conservatory staff.

However, the following may order above the single flower limit where Tulips are concerned, for work use, as they deal regularly with the Newly Awakened:

Awakeners, Almoners and Rememberers

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Please consult us on any plants ordered for special events. This includes: Raffles, balls, dinners, weddings.

If you want nice decorations or nice plants, try to consult us two moons in advance. Please consult one of us in person, if possible, and definately send a scroll with your thoughts and ideas on them. We will need the date of the event. The advance notice we hope to be given means that you may not have the exact date at the time, so let us know the exact date later - but still two sevendays before hand! We also hope to see evidence of it on this public board if it is claimed a public event requires the plants.

Those on eleventh link are generally safe in assuming that they can order only level 0 plants (unless banned or similar), though occasionally an exception may be encountered. If you are told you can not have a certain plant, it would behove you to understand and simply ask for another of the plants suggested to you.

As a further guide to level, Her Majesty is classed as level 15 - also remember that intrinsic rank counts far more in a persons favour than other rank.

POINTS EARNED BY LEVEL

11th link 0 points added
10th link +1
9th link +2
8th link +3
7th link +4
6th link +5
5th link +6
4th link +7
3rd link +8
2nd link +9
1st Link +10

Extra points for intrinsic rank - add to link points

Honoured guest +1
Courtier +2
Knight +3
Noble +4
Royal +5
Ck - Cook, may have +3 points added for foods with cooking uses only.

Instrument Order Guidelines

Luthery Guidelines

Instrument Orders are currently able to be taken by Eleren, ser Tredias and sera Ennah. All orders must be approved by me before completion, and are based off of favor. If you have those who would reccomend you for owning an instrument, you may wish to have them send a missive to me as well.

To have your request considered you must be a citizen in good standing and with a good reputation. If I do not think you will treat the instrument properly I will not allow one to be made for you. If you are not well known enough or if you do not contribute to the castle in some beneficial way I will not allow one to be made for you.

Those within the royal players, muses, or of high standing within the court have priority in orders.

In Service,

The Embinders' Association provides books and assorted paper products to all denizens of Castle Marrach. Here is listed our current roster, as well as our present ordering guidelines. Please refer to them when placing an order with us.

Guild Status
As can be seen by the low number of people upon the above list, the Carpenters are in need of workers. If you are interested in pursuing the trade, speak to Janwin, Eleren or Jayland.
Changes
There have been some changes made in how Carpentry works. In the future, if you order a piece of furniture, it is up to the person you order from to see it completed and delivered to you. Each Carpenter chooses for whom and when they work. If there is a problem with how your order is handled, you can take your complaint to the Carpenter directly above the one you find fault with. This system is designed to give each Carpenter more freedom on what they make, and to expediate your orders by eliminating confusions, duplications, and error caused by many people viewing the same paperwork.

Thus, if you order from a Carpenter, your order will be handled by that one Carpenter. It is our hope that this new system will remedy the many problems Carpentry has faced over the years.

Also, remember that sponsorships must be renewed when the notice goes up and upon the revoking of a sponsorship the blade must be returned to the sponsor or the Armoury.

How To Sponsor:

Who To Contact:

A minister of Her Majesty. (Chamberlain preferred)

What Needs To Be Sent:

Your name and rank.
The name of the individual you are sponsoring.
Why you wish to sponsor this individual to bear arms.

What Happens Then:

After you have sent in your missive of sponsorship, it will be approved or denied (you will be contacted either way) and then it will fall into the hands of the Scribes who will update the records of sponsorship and send a copy to the Armoury. Once you have recieved the official OK from a Minister for the sponsorship, you may then order a blade for the individual you are sponsoring, or register the blade you give them.

Martial Guild Sponsorship:

Leaders of Martial Guilds are given sanction to sponsor those of appropriate rank IN the martial guild to bear arms without having to go through a Minister every time. It is however required to keep the Chamber up-to-date on who you sponsor in your guilds.

All orders must be sent to the Royal Armourer unless otherwise stated. Any questions may also be directed to the Armourer.

- Eeva, Royal Armourer

Office of Heraldry: Emblazonry Guidelines

This includes jewelry, weaponry, cloth, metal, and all other items being engraved, embossed, embroidered, or otherwise marked with any of the non-standard symbolism.

Who May Order an Emblazoned Item?
Only denizens with an officially registered armorial bearing may order an item emblazoned, which are generally restricted to those of Knighthood and above. Always check the Record of Arms before beginning any item with Heraldic symbolism on it. Names listed in red are NOT registered and therefore may NOT have any items crafted for them bearing Heraldic symbolism.
Where Do I Send My Order?
All requests for emblazonry should go through the appropriate crafting group, not the Office of Heraldry. Please keep in mind the materials involved and choose a crafter of suitable skill to meet your needs. If none of the below match what is being requested, a missive may be sent to a Herald.
 • Requests for embroidered cloth should be directed to the Seamstresses.
 • Requests for engraved metal should be directed to the Jewellers; except metal weaponry which should be directed to the Armoury.
 • Requests for embossed wood should be directed to the Carpenters.
 • Requests for embossed books should be directed to the Embinders.
 • Requests for custom tattoos should be directed to the Tattooists.

Crafters should not contact the Office of Heraldry for the design, but note the renderings of their proper Coat of Arms provided in the Record of Arms above.
May I Order Gifts or Tokens for Others?
Gifts and tokens should be ordered sparingly and given only as a great honour to bear. Keep in mind the precious metals that the item may be made with and that this person will bear your mark on that item as a symbol honoring them for all time.
Where Do I Obtain Sealing Wax and Colored Scrolls?
The Office of Heraldry does not provide wax for sealing documents or colored scrolls; however, those items are available through the Office of the Royal Orders. Designated colored scrolls are available to Knighthood and above.
Are There Any Restrictions?
The crafter or crafting group receiving a request has the right to exercise their favor or disfavor, enforce their own guidelines upon a request, or to simply deny a request at their will.

((OOC: No storypoint cost is generally incurred in requests for unique, emblazoned items relating to Heraldry; however, this is subject to change depending on the type and complexity of the item requested. After ordering, please remain patient while staff creates the item.))
Guidelines for Crafters to Follow:
The following guidelines are set in place upon the crafters by the Office of Heraldry:

1. Only the metals gold and silver may be used.

2. Only eight colors may be used; cerulean (reserved for Royalty), blue, red, purple, black, and green. Blood red and a shade that can be portrayed as tawny, orange, or brown are also sometimes used. Any desired shade of the armorial bearing's colors may be used for the paint, stone, or dye of an emblazoned item. Always check the Record of Arms before beginning an item, as the owner may have specific requests already listed.

3. Heraldic symbolism includes any symbols or designs that are not normally offered to the public by a crafting group. If this comes up, please direct them to register their armorial bearing with the Heralds or suggest a normal symbol instead.

4. You should base your design off of the picture in the Record of Arms and nothing else, including changes from the person who requested the item. If they would like to change their armorial bearing, they may contact a Herald. Many items are too small to display an armorial bearing in full. It is acceptable to use the main object/animal and the main color(s)/metal(s) for an item as is artistically pleasing, except in the case of a signet ring.

5. Silver and gold thread is reserved for those allowed to wear it or gift it by the Seamstressing Guidelines; white and yellow will be substituted accordingly for all others. This includes all items made of cloth.

6. Only one signet ring per person or group will be made to prevent the risk of loss or forgery. These records will be maintained by the Jewellers.
Crafters with questions on emblazonry not answered in the above guidelines should contact a Herald.

Ever in service to Her Royal Majesty,
