Yelling + Emotes = Bad

I've noticed alot of people yelling with smiles and hugs. Stuff like:

Whoever Yells, "Hi! *hugs*"

And frankly, it bugs the hell out of me. You can emote a little bit in think, as long as you believe that thoughts are sent in images and ideas rather then just words, but yelling is just that.... yelling. I can't give my boyfriend a hug by yelling at him, matter of fact, it's kinda counter productive.

So anyway, as far as I'm concerned if you emote when you yell, you should be smacked upside the head.

I disagree with only one aspect and that is either a smiling face thing or a frown face thing, for the sole reason that unless the reciever was tone deaf, yelling would convey the speakers state of emotion.

Having said that, I fully agree that hugs, chuckles and the like should not be included in a yell.

I have noting against the smiley face or frown, as they usually imply tone of voice, just not actions.

Alleys and echoes.

I can also see howls and madcackling in the alleys, by virtue of the echoes. The most annoying aspect of those "action emotes" is when we are in the Arena. The screen is already scroling like a mad thing and there it flies by..glaring and annoying. *sigh* Anything involving tone, or vocalization (note, not a whisper ) should be okwhile yelling.

I've never mind someone yelling something like *howls* because that is something you CAN yell but can't really yell IG..so a yelled *howl* let's us know you're howling. same with a yelled *scream* or something like that.

But things like *hugs* *eyeshift* *snicker* - these aren't things you can yell....so I don't think they should be yelled.

Definately, I agree with that, an audible emote in yelling is alright, also , (the tone of what you're yelling --happy yell, angry yell), but a huggy yell...
