Casting Call

Alright folks, after all the seriousness on these boards, it's time for another of those posts where everybody's asked to contribute and nobody will get flamed... (at least I hope so).

We had books, we had music, but are you ready for... the big screen?

The question itself is quite simple:

If Castle Marrach was to be turned into a movie and you where its director, whom would you want to play your character?

To start with a good example... (or maybe a bad one cause I could not really settle on an actor and ended up with a compromise):

Dariel would be played by a young (late 20s/early 30s) James Woods.

There you go... have fun.

Very nice...a post where I can retract my claws.

I'd have to say Glen Close in her late 20s and 30s is the only person who could do Santlar justice. *smirk*

I can put many characters with Glen Close though.

How about we also say what actors and actresses we think would be good to play other characters besides our own? As long as everyone realizes it is all in good fun.

I think Chris Farley would have played a good Duren.

All in good fun Duren!

Angelica Houston! That's perfect. I like that better than Glen Close.

I think John Malkovich would play a good Sansamor.

Alicia Silverstone might play a good Sara.

Ben Affleck as Radorcha?

Duren: That guy who played Wolverine in XMEN
Nope. Uh uh. No way. I'm thinking more along the lines of Kevin Sorbo, Sean Connery or Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Kevin Sorbo for his role in Kull the Conquerer. Arnold... Heck, he WAS the originial Barbarian. Sean Connery... Who else can be 60 years old and still have women swarm over him!?!
Kevin Sorbo is probably my first choice.

So...

Duren: Kevin Sorbo
Zenaida: Sophie Marceau
Sorcha: [Edit: Fine Sorcha isn't Carrie Fisher! E-Mail me and I'll send the picture I drew of her]
Corrin: Edward Norton
Anabeth: Julia Roberts
Ravelyn: Claudia Black (Not even going to bother contesting that one)
Hannah: Sandra Bullock
Umi-chan: Emiri Nakayama
Yoko: Haruki Mizuno
Faer: Vanessa Williams
Edouard: (A young) Yul Brynner
Victor: Arnold Schwarzenegger (If anybody gets him, it's Victor. I can just see Victor with the funny accent!)
Sara: Drew Barrymore (Sorry Sorcha!)
Myrth: Denise Crosby
Margaret: (A young) Ertha Kitt
Charmiam: Elizibeth Hurley (Wrong skin-tone, but I think she's about right personality wize)
Nadira: Gwyneth Paltrow
Robert: (If Duren isn't then Robert is!) Sean Connery
Gareth: Elvis!! (Yes, he did acting!)
Cassandra: Meg Ryan
Morte: Tony Curtis
Whyndam: (A young) William Shatner
Martel: Val Kilmer
Philo: James Cromwell

Jared

The only person I can think of that at all fits Gretchan's description would be Halle Berry in X-men with slightly lighter skin tone.

Tony Curtis? I think not.

I have allways invisioned Morte as more of a David Bowie, from Labrynth.

Richarde : Brad Pitt, only a foot shorter
Geoffry the Cook : Mr. Clean.
Vizier : Morgan Freeman
Priestess Nadira : Whoopie Goldburg (Honest!)
Martel : Tom Cruise
Philo : Charlie Sheen.

I have mostly based Ximena's appearance on Rebecca De Mornay's appearance in Disney's "Three Muskateers" when she was the Lady DeWinter.

Others:
Angron: Joseph Fiennes for sure
Sorcha: Gabriella Reese
Avaria: Salma Hayak
Edouardo: Antonio Banderas

*smacks head on computer screen*

You know..... I had to step back and think about this one... and no one came to mind, for my character. Then I noticed someone put down Vanessa Willams...

Do you want to know how bad I am with names? I had to go look it up on a website! Anyway... I was stunned. Really.

*smiles embarrassed*

However..... Edouardo played by Antonio Banderas ...... that is a must... It is almost how I see the character myself!

*slobber* He's delich!

As for many of the others listed.... well.... like I said.... I am terrible with names... I have to go look up alot of these!

And I totally agree. Morte should be played by David Bowie and Victor played by Arnie.... And Martel played by Brad Pitt.....

wonderful suggestions for most everyone!

Hmm, for Lavinya....the lady who played Lavinia in the move Titus with Anthony Hopkins..I dont remember her name but I modeled Lav after her...For Faia definately, Angelina Jolie..but she would have to dye her hair. For Sindale..hmm maybe a young Robert Redford?
