ANNOUNCEMENT!

The enigmatic businessman Danzig Nightwing is sponsoring a tournament of martial skills. The top prize is one hundred talents in gold. Each winner of each match will recieve a purse of not less than one talent. There is no entrance fee.

RULES

All weapons are legal.
All armor is legal.
All moves are legal.
Matches will be randomly assigned.
Matches will last until knockout or yielding.

There are 32 slots available for fighters. If there are more entrants than available slots, the last remaining slots will be fought for at my discretion.

If you wish to enter, you can leave a message for Danzig at the message office. Be sure to include your name, height, weight, and country of origin.

The old legends have passed into history. A new day has dawned. Are you worthy? It's time to find out.

It'll be held over the course of likely at least a month. All the matches are random, so when I post the pairings everyone will need to let me know the times they can make it. And I'll work it out from there. It'll be basically a fight here and a fight there, maybe two or three at once if we can swing it. I'll see about getting some help if there are times that I can't personally oversee the fights.

Eh..... I dont think I like that. Its to random and not very fun if there isnt a huge crowd there to watch. It hard to do a tourny like that beacuse it takes so long and people work and play at different times. If you set a certian time and date people can make plans for it.

Too random? Random is the best way to run things.

All fights will be posted plenty of time in advance. I'm betting that there's going to be rather large crowds for most of them. Betting is encouraged, although I won't have the ability to personally cover bets. Security, healing, and refreshments are also going to be taken care of.

If you remember the Serpent tournament, this is kind of going to be like that. Or the NCAA playoffs, if you will.

This is the third time I've tried to hold this, but I could never get 32 entrants. This time, I've doubled the top prize, lost the entry fees, and increased individual purses. Hopefully, there will actually be a little interest this time.

But hell, if 110 talents of free money can't make people bite, I guess I'll give up.

The winner will recieve a total of 110 talents, unless I screwed up my math. Which I've been known to do.

Second place will recieve a total of 10 talents.

You win one round, you get a talent. (16 talents)

Win the next, you get two. (16 talents)

Winners of the third round get three. (12 talents)

Winners of the fourth get four. (8 talents)

I'm laying out a total of 152 talents just on prize money.

If it is like the NCAA tourney, will the lowest rank be up against the highest rank? Meaning.. Will -newb with 100 ranks- fight against -veteran with 5k ranks- ?

I would think not, but dumber things have happened.

Yeah, because the people entering THIS tournament fought for an entire season to determine who they fight.
