New House positions

Archivist
Each major House will benefit by appointing an archivist. This position is InCharacter but offers an OOC tool to provide some assistance. The major Houses included are Avoirdupois, Bisclavret, Doloreaux and Rinaldi.

Duties shall include but will not be limited to:

• Writing the history of the House
• Writing about current events
• Maintaining a running list of members
• Assigning tasks to apprentice archivists
• Broadcasting House-specific messages
• Informing about future House events
• Collecting information
• Research

There shall be Rules and Guidelines to follow. They must have the time and ability to write well. They should have leadership skills but do not need to have an InCharacter leadership position. They should be organized and trustworthy within the House.

I am not offering any more information at this time. The exact position's duties will be mentioned after I speak with each chosen Archivist. If this goes well, we might offer the same tools to smaller Houses and/or Guilds.

The gold ring bearer is to inform me of the Houses choice for the position. How they are chosen is up to each House using InCharacter means. You can vote, appoint or roll dice. I don't care which. Staff (I) reserve the right to refute your choice but will only do so if there is a major reason to. When you are ready, I can be @page'd, emailed via Death -AT- ironclaw.skotos.net, or the ring bearer can post publicly in this thread.

Do not page me or other staff for clarification. This is all the information we are offering at this time. If you find a character with the traits and abilities listed above, they will be your best choice. I will be moving forward on this project at my own pace. If a House has not chosen an Archivist by then, they can always do so in the future. There is no disadvantage to not using this project/system. It is merely a tool meant to benefit each House and the playerbase as a whole. It offers nothing that cannot be done on your own.

P.S. If there is not an active ring bearer, contact me and we will do our best to deal with it.

It appears all set up. All players can go to this page and register. These are InCharacter web pages. Use InCharacter responses to register where you are able. If you do not have a last name for your character, improvise such as First Name: Crafter, Last Name: Fowler.

Those of you marked as Archivist will be granted edit rights to your respective webs within this site (you cant see them until I get to this). At that point, you will be able to determine who can view, edit and all that. I will be making sure the Heads of each House and section are able to control certain pages to facilitate their role.

How you use this site is up to you, making it public or private is up to you, keeping it updated is up to you. The only stipulation is that it is to be used as an InCharacter reference. You are allowed one "clearly marked" OOC page.
