Role-playing Diversity

Greetings,


First, I like to take the opportunity to thank the community for the lovely role-playing experience derived from introducing our new friend into the World of Marrach. I have already experienced wonderful interaction within the short time of bringing my character out. I had the chance to experience what it is like for new characters/players; and how people respond to intrigue or unique situations that may pop up. However, I would also like to take this time to mention, while I do not mind questions, I will not be giving out -ANY- OOC information of the creation of this character, whether she was made with Spoints or if there are other reasons for her existence. Please, do not take this as me wanting to be mean or hateful, but I think it is irrelevant to the story in game. If you have questions of who she is, why she is acting in such a strange manner, or living in the inner, I like to request that you address these concerns IC.

[Note: If given I nudge via PM or page of rping something that concerns you, I may give a hint as to why it is occurring, but not specific details, to help you better to understand how or if you wish to respond to the situation icly.]

Now, knowing we cannot please everyone with how we may choose run our characters, I also like to take this time to add; it can be very rewarding or possibly even exciting if we were to maintain some level of patiences/tolerance (however you like to look at it) and open ourselves to the various realms of possibilities that may cause a situation to arise IC or a player/staff to role-play their character as they may choose.

Remember, we are in a place of magic, wonderment, and dreams. Things may come into being that were thought otherwise impossible or breaking some level of reasonable understanding. While, I do understand many would feel that they wish to keep some level of realism to the game, I also like to toss out the fact that life too, does have a tendency to throw at you many situations that seem to contradict popular belief. This is what can make things fun or very stressful, depending on how you choose to receive it.

In saying all this, if you do feel, for whatever reasons, role-playing in certain situations is causing you distress, by all means, I invite you to kindly express your feelings and that you feel you will not be participating in the situation that has been presented.

I will continue to role-play as my idea of running this character dictates; however, I welcome you all to give me feedback on your concerns or even what you may like. I do still wish to bring some level of enjoyment to those in the community around me.

Aha, I had heard someone bought the Courtier Package with STPs but didn't really look into it much, that must be you. Fascinating really, I'd wondered if anyone would ever buy that. Looking beyond the simple rank it buys you, I think what's more important is the new doors it opens as far as roleplay goes, we don't get many newly awoken Courtiers. Truthfully I'd never buy it, simply because the atmosphere of roleplay in the IB doesn't suit my tastes personally, but it should be interesting to see where you take Ayame's story.

Brings back old memories. I remember when I first made Lucus, he was the 'first of his kind' too, people thought he was a VP (or some did).

I think that was her whole point, to not point that out.

It's a cool thing for our characters to find out that awakenings are possible in the Inner as well as I'm sure few if any of them even considered such a thing possible. Best of luck in your new opportunity.

Huh, oh really? My bad.

Though it seems a fairly obvious conclusion to make, considering you know, it's like listed in the Storypoint Purchases page. I can't imagine any other way a PC would be waking up in the IB in linen wrappings.

Alright, I am not wanting to take away from the point of this posting by going back and forth over what means a character is created. I think the community has a basic grip of that, as well as, I do. The idea of this post was exactly the opposite and to point out a few other concerns.

On this matter, enough said.

Granted, it's been ages since I've played. However, this has me wanting to play again just to find out what this controversy is. Of course, it's in the IB so I wouldn't be able to find out even if I returned.
